~ Brainvawe Frequencies

I didn't do enough research before I published this post. Now I have searched the web for more references and found that they differs?! And I've forgotten the source to where I found these frequencies... (my bad). The webpage that seems most professional is Wikipedia's  Electroencephalography. So I will copy and paste the range of the frequencies from that page within brackets beside each wave pattern. I really don't know what's correct or not.

UPDATE: 10-26-16
I have found another webpage that explains more about Brain Wave Frequencies: http://mentalhealthdaily.com/2014/04/15/5-types-of-brain-waves-frequencies-gamma-beta-alpha-theta-delta/

BETA: 12hz - 38hz (12 Hz to about 30 Hz)
Wide awake. This is generally the mental state most people are in during the day and most of their waking lives. Usually, this state in itself is uneventful, but don't underestimate its importance. Many people lack sufficient beta activity, which can cause mental or emotional disorders such as depression, ADD and insomnia. Stimulating beta activity can improve emotional stability, energy levels, attentiveness and concentration.

ALPHA: 8hz - 12hz (8 Hz to 12 Hz)
Awake but relaxed and not processing much information. When you get up in the morning and just before sleep, you are naturally in this state. When you close your eyes your brain automatically starts producing more alpha waves. Alpha is usually the goal of experienced meditators. Since alpha is a very receptive, absorbent mental state, you can also use it for effective self-hypnosis, mental re-programming and more.

THETA: 3hz - 8hz (4 Hz to 7 Hz)
Light sleep or extreme relaxation. Theta can also be used for hypnosis and self-programming using pre-recorded suggestions.

DELTA: 0.2hz - 3hz (up to 4 Hz)
Deep, dreamless sleep. Delta is the slowest band of brainwaves. When your dominant brainwave is delta, your body is healing itself and "resetting" its internal clocks. You do not dream in this state and are completely unconscious.

GAMMA AND HYPER-GAMMA: 30 - 100 Hz (30–100 Hz)
Gamma brainwaves are usually very weak in normal people but have recently been found to be very strong in Tibetan monks while doing a Loving Kindness meditation. 40hz becomes the dominant frequency of these monks while meditating and it is also the frequency that the core of Earth resonates to. A very important frequency when it comes to higher awareness and mystical experiences.

LAMBDA WAVES: 100 - 200 Hz
Lambda waves are recently reported very high frequency brainwaves. Lambda brainwaves are a 'newer' brainwave only because it is difficult to get instrumentation to accurately measure them. Lmbda brainwaves are associated with wholeness and integration, as well as with mystical experiences and out of body experiences. Interestingly these extremely high frequency brainwaves seem to ride on a very low frequency Epsilon wave. If you were to zoom out from the high frequency Lambda wave far enough you would see that it is riding on a larger very low frequency wave.

EPILSON WAVES: < 0.5 Hz
Recently the brainwaves below 0.5hz have been classified as a separate band called Epsilon. Interestingly again we find that they are strongly related to the highest frequency brainwaves (Lambda) in that if you zoom in far enough you would see that embedded within the slow Epsilon frequency is a very fast Lambda frequency wave. The same states of consciousness are associated with both Lambda and Epsilon waves. Wholeness and integration seem to be the main themes of these brainwaves. As you open to higher levels of consciousness (associated with the upper chakras and the opening of the "third eye"), you will be able to allow the higher, and extremely low, brainwaves to become more dominant in your brain activity. Your perceptions will then expand, you will be able to consciously perceive the higher frequencies of light and sound which are as yet unable to be detected by mere scientific instrumentation.

~ Brainwave Entrainment

The first time I came in contact with Brainwave Entrainment, was 1996. Then it was Hemisync from the Monroe Institute I listened to (Binaural Beats), at that time I didn't know anything about the whole "industry" behind it or what binaural beats really was. I just felt relaxed listening to the beats and the voice that guided me. Also the idea of synchronising the two brain hemispheres attracted me. I was listening every day for 6 months and made it through Wave 1, then other "things" came in the way and I stopped. I didn't forget about Hemisync over the years, I did try it again a few times, but I didn't experience the feeling of relaxation as I did before.

Hm... now I remember, back in the late 80's, was probably the very first time I tried 'Brainwave Entrainment'. I had access to a device, it was a cassette player and thick glasses. When you used it you had the head phones and glasses on, there were some sound but I don't remember what it was. What I do remember is the glasses, you had to have you eyes open while wearing them and there were some flashing lights and colors. I don't know if that was monaural beats, such a long time ago, I don't remember all the details.

Last year, I got my first "smartphone" and started to look for Apps and came across Binaural Beats, downloaded it and liked it. At the time I had no idea it was related to hemisync, but I started to "investigate". Googled on it and found all the videos on YouTube, began reading about brainwave entrainment and I became aware of isochronic tones. Then I did a search on YouTube and found FingerprintDIVA (Na'ven Enigma), and her isochronic tones just blew me away. I felt immediately that this was my "thing" and one thing led to the other and all of a sudden I was uploading isochronic tones on YouTube.

This is a very special frequency (20 Hz), commonly called 'The "Cure All" Rife Frequency'.

It's also a Beta Frequency (Range: 12hz - 38hz)
"Wide awake. This is generally the mental state most people are in during the day and most of their waking lives. Usually, this state in itself is uneventful, but don't underestimate its importance. ~ Isochronic Tones and Brainwave Entrainment

Isochronic tones work by emitting sound at regular intervals. This excites the thalamus and causes the brain to duplicate the frequency of the Isochronic tones, changing its thought patterns.

Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone used for brainwave entrainment. Similar to monaural beats, the interference pattern that produces the beat is outside the brain so headphones are not required for entrainment to be effective. They differ from monaural beats, which are constant sine wave pulses rather than entirely separate pulses of a single tone. As the contrast between noise and silence is more pronounced than the constant pulses of monaural beats, the stimuli is stronger and has a greater effect on brain entrainment.

Binaural beats are not very noticeable because the modulation depth (the difference between loud and quiet) is 3 db, a two-to-one ratio. (Isochronic tones and mono beats easily have 50 db difference between loud and quiet, which is a 100,000-to-1 ratio). This means that binaural beats are unlikely to produce any significant entrainment because they don’t activate the thalamus. But they do have some hypnotic and relaxing effect by way of dissociation. You have to use headphones when listening to Binaural Beats, because the entrainment occurs by a third tone, that is created by 2 different frequencies, one in the left ear and the second in the right ear.

If you are looking for the most effective type of brainwave entrainment, Isochronic tones are the way to go. Isochronic Tones also use equal intensity tones, but the pulse speed is greater, causing the brain to synchronize with the rhythm. In 1999, Thomas Budzynski Ph.D. published a case in the Journal of Neurotherapy which showed that a group of 8 college students increased their GPA with the use of audio brainwave stimulation, and their GPA continued to increase even after the brainwave entrainment was finished.

It's important that the tones (beats) have an effect on the thalamus as it's belived to be a kind of a "switch".
The thalamus has multiple functions. It is generally believed to act as a relay between a variety of subcortical areas and the cerebral cortex. In particular, every sensory system (with the exception of the olfactory system) includes a thalamic nucleus that receives sensory signals and sends them to the associated primary cortical area.
Source: What does the Thalamus do
There are many ways to create Isochronic Tones and Binaural Beats, some add noice, nature sounds or meditative music. I prefer the pure isochronic tones, I find the added sound disturbing, I just like to focus on the beat of the tones in my brain. The Isochronic tones videos on my YouTube channel are pure, there is is only one frequency, no carrier tone, noice, music etc. The isochronic tones are created in Audacity, first a sine tone is created, then it is modulated with the plugin; Isomod, and then converted into mp3.

So, when it comes to Brainwave Entrainment you will find that there are many Binaural Beats available. Monaural beats are not so common. Isochronic tones are relatively new and are the tones I'm interested in, because of it's potential effect on the thalamus.

Most of the Isochronic Tones I upload on YouTube based on the 'Cross Reference List of Rife Frequencies', but not all of them.

About the original Rife Frequency List:
According to Dr. Royal R. Rife, every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease.
The whole idea of traditional Rife therapy was to find the particular frequency to blow up an enemy virus or bacteria. This technology and philosophy was always based on single frequencies that were taken from old records of which frequencies had worked in the past for a given disease.

Scientific proof
There are not enough scientific studies about isochronic tones and it's effect (if any) in the brain and organs. Brainwave entrainment falls into the category of the alternative field or pseudoscience. I'm not a neuroscientist nor do I have any education in medicin, I don't know if isochronic tones works or not. And please always seek professional medical help before you turn to alternative healthcare.

DISCLAIMER
Brainwave Entrainment, Sound healing, Isochronic Tones, etc is not an evidence-based scientific method.
